R -realistic
I - investigate
A - artistic
S - social
E - enterprising
C - conventional

RIASEC
Realistic
These people tend to enjoy creating things with hands and working with tools and objects. Interest in activities requiring motor coordination, skill and physical strength, prefer of physically involved in performing task.
Example Occupations:
Forester, Farmer, Industrial Arts Teacher, Radio Operator, Auto Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Civil Engineer, Automobile Mechanic, Aircraft Controller, Electrician, Dental Technician, Motion Picture Projectionist, Carpenter, Tailor, Machine Repair.

Investigate
These people tend to focus on scientific activities, like to analyze and solve problems. They are analytical, abstract, intellectual and task-oriented.
Example Occupations:
Biologist, Chemist, Physicist, Anthropologist, Anstronomer, Math Teacher, Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Programmer, Pharmacist, Geologist, Surgeon, Animal Scientist, Bootanist, Zoologist, Engineering Aide, Weather Observer.

Artistic
These people are high on artistic theme, manifestation of strong self-expression and relations with people indirectly through artistic expression.
Example Occupations:
Composer, Musician, Orchestra Conductor, Writer, Journalist, Language Teacher, Literature Teacher, Fashion Model, Editor, Radio Program Writer, Actor/Actress, Designer, Interior Designer, Architect, Decorator, Photographer.

Social
These people high on social theme usually seen by others as sociable, popular and responsible. Prefer social interaction and social presence, generally gravitate to activities that involve promoting the health, education or well-being of others .

Teacher, Human Development, Social Service, Social Religious Counselor, Food Service Manager, Historian, Librarian, Physical Education Teacher, Political Scientist.

Enterprising
These people are primarily enterprising in nature, often verbally skilled where a person is in a position of leading or convincing others.
Example Occupations:
Salesperson, Banker, Insurance Underwriter, Business Executive, Television Producer, Florist, Lawyer, Judge, Attorney, Government Official, Human Resource Recruiter.

Conventional
These people tend to prefer jobs where they are given firm structure. People who rank hogh on this theme often describe themselves as conscientious, efficient and calm. Typified by great concern for rules and regulations, great self-control. They enjoy words and numbers and systematic.
Example Occupations:
Bookkeeper, Finance Expert, Credit Manager, Tax Expert, Data Processing Work, Accounting Machine Reporter, Proofreader.

It's better to know the RIASEC even it's a theory developed by John Holland. As useful guide to decide what to do in the future.
Anyway, it's not necessary to be dependent in the theory because it's really all up to you what to choose career someday. It's a guide especially to post-millennial who are stucked thinking what to choose.
